Seeds of the Voters' Help Line were planted in 2016, when it was thought to be the new website of the Electoral Commission. In the process of designing a new website, the idea ofthe Voter Helpline began with humility. At that stage, the Project was nicknamed the ‘ECI Citizen App’ and the primary purpose was to display on the mobile app, the content of the main ECI website.
